What Is HRD Attestation?

HRD attestation (Human Resource Department) simply means State Authentication. It is a complete procedure of validation of the educational documents. We have HRD departments available in each state, as the validation of the educational documents/ certificates is being done by the respective state itself. After the HRD attestation further attestation procedure is carried out.

Why & When HRD Is Required for Education Documents?

You can start your attestation procedure as soon as you get the confirmation that your documents are genuine. As attestation procedure is a quite lengthy process and various government bodies such as SDM, Notary, State Home Ministry, Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) come in the role.

HRD is mainly for educational certificates, as when you apply for any job or for admission to the University of the country you want to go to. They as well require the completed identity verification of the person and documents (Personal, Educational, Commercial) authenticity as per the norms of the country you are planning to visit.

Is HRD Compulsory?

Yes, now all consulates have made HRD attestation compulsory prior to embassy attestation. Due to this, it does become a bit of a hassle for candidates as it requires more time and effort for getting the documents and certificates attested. But HRD attestation is mandatory as no further formalities can be carried without HRD verification.

Is it possible to attest documents from any HRD department?

No, as HRD attestation has to be done by respective State HRD department i.e. State Mantralaya to which the candidate belongs to. Later on, after state authentication from the state HRD department, the document is further processed for the verification to MEA (Ministry of External Affairs).

Is it possible to get assistance from professional agencies in the attestation process?

Yes, there are some professional agencies that help applicants to accomplish the attestation process, in order to make it simple, easy and hassle-free. However one should be frugal while choosing the agencies as they have expertise and experience in attestation procedure. Choosing a reliable and trustworthy agency is quite complicated.
